On the pitch, critical gameplay fundamentals have been enhanced to ensure that FIFA 2010 mirrors real-world football, providing more sophisticated ball control, and physical interaction.
On attack, players now analyze space more effectively, curve their runs in an attempt to stay onside, create passing lanes naturally, and drive for more variety in attacking options.
On defense, new concepts like position priority enable defenders to multitask so dangerous spaces left open by teammates out of position are covered. Plus, slide tackle targeting, press marking, and better urgency clearance logic provide new options that make defending a tactical skill in FIFA 2010.

This game has excellent graphics, relatively realistic gameplay and a fast game engine. The controls are great (and customisable) as usual, and you many many Game Modes to choose from, including the new Football IQ mode, and with a new and improved Manager Mode, where you can play the matches but also act as a manager and make financial decisions ad transfers for the club. However, the commentary is a bit rusty, as usual, with the commentators seeming to get confused sometimes. Apart from that, the only other fault is the long loading times. I strongly recommend this game to anyone, as it has many difficult levels from pick-up-and-play to World Class football. The soundtrack is good, if a bit limited, and I like the new profile features. An excellent all-round football game. Recommend it!!!
